Motorists passing through Route 6 on the Jefferson Valley/Shrub Oak corridor Tuesday afternoon saw a heavy police presence that began at around noon. The Yorktown Police Department said area residents should not be alarmed, but have not yet disclosed the reason for the enhanced presence.
