An H&M employee at the Jefferson Valley Mall in Yorktown Heights was busted after allegedly stealing more than $1,000 from his employer. Investigators from the Yorktown Police Department were alerted on Aug. 20 from H&M that an employee had been making fraudulent return transactions and placing the money on gift cards without authorization.

A 60-year-old man in a suspicious van was busted with crack cocaine in the Jefferson Valley Mall parking lot in the middle of the day, police said. A plainclothes police officer from the Yorktown Police Department approached the van in the parking lot at approximately 2:20 p.m. on Aug. 1, when he said he saw Mahopac resident Robert McGuigan "acting in a suspicious manner."
