Yorktown's Jefferson Valley Mall Schedules Back-To-School Event

The Jefferson Valley Mall in Yorktown Heights will host an "Arrive in Style" Back-To-School Fashion and Styling event on Saturday, Sept. 3. The event will feature a live performance from pop duo TRYON at 1 p.m. The performance will include its latest National Top 40 hit single "Somebody to Love Me."

Employee Charged With Stealing From Jefferson Valley Mall Store

An employee of Sears at the Jefferson Valley Mall has been charged with stealing money from the store, Yorktown police said. Louise Miller, 59, of Jefferson Valley, a sales associate, was accused of taking $55 from several cash registers Sunday evening and hiding it down the front of her pants, police said.

Two Charged With Heroin Possession In Jefferson Valley Mall Parking Lot

Yorktown police have arrested a 24-year-old man from Mahopac and a 19-year-old woman from Yorktown on drug-related charges, authorities said. The arrests came about when an officer patrolling the Jefferson Valley Mall parking lot observed the man allegedly handing a hypodermic syringe to the woman as they sat inside a parked vehicle on Tuesday, Aug, 2, around 6:42 p.m., police report.

Man Found Passed Out In Car On Taconic Parkway Near Yorktown, Police Say

A 28-year-old Jefferson Valley man is facing several drug charges, including driving while impaired, after New York State Police investigated a report of an unconscious man in a stopped car in the middle lane of the Taconic State Parkway near Yorktown, state police said. David C. Vazquez is charged with felony driving while ability impaired along with felony first-degree unlicensed operation since his license was revoked due to a previous DWI conviction, police said.
