Yorktown cops: Woman leaves child in car; man, 72, slashed in domestic; more

Yorktown police on Monday released information on some recent arrests. Kudrat Akinleye, 36, of Baldwin Road, Yorktown, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, about 4:40 p.m. Saturday after she left a 5-year-old girl unattended in a parked car for several minutes while she shopped at Macy's in the Jefferson Valley Mall.
