Yorktown Police Arrest Lakeland Student After Assault In Cafeteria

Yorktown police report the arrest of a 14-year-old Jefferson Valley resident, whose name is being withheld due to his age, on a charge of juvenile delinquency, with an underlying charge of third-degree attempted assault. On Dec. 10 at about 1:15 p.m., the school resource officer at Lakeland High School was advised of an altercation inside the school cafeteria, according to officials.

Teens Perform At The Paramount In Peeskill

Five Yorktown teens were a part of the chorus that performed at The Paramount Hudson Valley's "Christmas with the Celts" concert Thursday evening as part of the Cortlandt School of Performing Arts . The CSPA provides opportunities for students that study voice in their Croton studio and sent a younger group - the Kids Care Cabaret - to sing with David Benoit's "A Charlie Brown Christmas" this month.

Cortlandt Manor Woman Charged With Stealing From Macy's

A Cortlandt Manor woman was arrested Saturday after allegedly stealing merchandise from the Macy's in Jefferson Valley Mall, according to Yorktown Police. At about 4:16 p.m. Friday, police responded to a report of a shoplifter in custody at the Macy's located at 700 Lee Blvd., according to police.

Cortlandt Woman Accused of Shoplifting

At about 4:16 p.m. Dec. 11, Yorktown police were called to Macy's in the Jefferson Valley Mall. There, store security staffers accused Jemenson of concealing items valued at $322.96 in a used Macy's shopping bag and then walking past all the cash registers and out of the store.

Woman Charged In Theft Of Items From JV Mall Macy's

A Yonkers woman was arrested recently and accused of stealing more than $900 in items from the Macy's at the Jefferson Valley Mall, according to Yorktown police. Juliana Jamil Khoury, 53, was charged with petit larceny, after police found she had concealed items in a large bag, including a vacuum cleaner, police said.

The American Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes program delivers cards of thanks and support to members of the armed forces, veterans and their families. Metro New York officials promise this year's program will deliver cards from local communities to local military facilities, veteran's homes and hospitals and military family support groups.
