Yorktown police have charged a 27-year-old Mohegan Lake resident with petty larceny after an incident at Sears at the Jefferson Valley Mall. Police received a call from the Sears store at 600 Lee Blvd. reporting a female shoplifter in custody on Friday, May 20, at approximately 11:55 a.m., according to officials.

Man Charged With Stealing Cologne From Jefferson Valley Mall
A 52-year-old Wingdale resident is facing a shoplifting charge after Yorktown police say he took three bottles of cologne at Sears at the Jefferson Valley Mall in Yorktown without paying for them. Salvatore Dimuro is charged with misdemeanor petty larceny and has been released on $200 cash bail, police said.

Woman Charged With Identity Theft In Jefferson Mall Incident
Tyana A. Mason, 20, of Waterbury, was originally arrested in March by police who had been called to the Sears store at the Jefferson Valley Mall to investigate a possible fraud in progress. Police said that Mason had tried to lease a large, flat screen television set using the ID of someone from Alabama.

Lakeland School District Holds Annual Art Week At Jefferson Valley Mall
The Lakeland Central School District will host its 31st annual "Lakeland Week of the Arts" event at Jefferson Valley Mall in Yorktown Heights May 9 - 22. The art exhibition will kick off with a special ceremony in the mall's Center Court on Monday, May 9, from 6:15 - 7 p.m. with art on display through Sunday, May 22.
