Yorktown Man Charged With Assault On Woman

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. Nathanial Jenkins, a 36-year-old Jefferson Valley man, was arrested Tuesday after being accused of punching, scratching and kicking a woman, causing physical injury, according to Yorktown police. Police said officers responded for a report of an assault at 620 E. Main St. After conducting an investigation, it was found that Jenkins assaulted the woman, according to police.

Utility Honors Top Performers in Residential Energy-Efficience Program

Two local contractors in Con Edison's Heating and Cooling Rebates program, Envirocare Air Quality Restoration of Jefferson Valley and Res-Com Heating & Air Conditioning of Mahopac, are among 20 who received awards for helping residential customers to save money and make their homes more comfortable. The honorees were chosen for their work during 2014, a year in which Con Edison residential customers made upgrades that will keep more than 7,700 tons of carbon out of the air.

Parent company of Danbury mall rejects takeover bid

Woman Accused Of Giving Forged Documents To Yorktown Employer

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. Anna M. Pettersen, a 36-year-old Dutchess County resident, was arrested after she was accused of providing her employer with forged documents with a raised seal claiming to be from a judicial district court, according to Yorktown police. Police said an officer was sent to Celoa Manor in Jefferson Valley on a report of fraud.

Crompond Man Charged With Traffic Infractions

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. Paulo M. Ferreira, a 20-year-old Crompond resident, has been charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor, and driving an uninspected motor vehicle, a traffic violation, on Sunday, according to Yorktown police. Police said an officer was on patrol when he observed a gray Volkswagen traveling on East Main Street with an expired inspection sticker.
