An employee at Macy's in the Jefferson Valley Mall worked together with a friend to steal $1,663 from the store, Yorktown Police said. Police received a call at around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 28 from Macy's staff reporting an employee and another person being detained for a larceny complaint.

2.2 Magnitude Earthquake Reported Near Northern Westchester/Putnam Border
A 2.2 magnitude earthquake was reported early Wednesday morning near the Northern Westchester/Putnam about 3 miles north, northwest of Mohegan Lake.
