A 19-year-old Mohegan Lake woman is facing charges of endangering the welfare of a child in connection with a shoplifting case, according to Yorktown police. She and an unidentified 15-year-old were accused by store personnel of trying to steal about $800 worth of clothing, police said.

Yorktown police have arrested a 59-year-old resident of Peekskill on a larceny charge after an incident at Sears in the Jefferson Valley Mall. Police were dispatched to the store, 600 Lee Blvd., following a report of a shoplifter in custody at about 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, according to officials.

Woman Charged With Stealing From Jefferson Valley Mall

A 37-year-old Ossining woman is facing a larceny charge after Yorktown police said store security at Sears at the Jefferson Valley Mall in Yorktown told them she tried to leave the store without paying for about $266 worth of children's clothes, police said. Enma Lucia Macancela-Zhumi, of Denny Street in Ossining, was charged with misdemeanor petit larceny, and was released on $200 bail, police said.
