Police report that a Jefferson Valley woman was arrested on Sunday, in the theft of items from the Taconic Pharmacy on two separate occasions. According to police, Louise Miller, 58, of Jefferson Valley, was observed on the store's security camera stealing assorted merchandise from the store on Oct. 17 and Oct. 22. The value of the items taken on Oct. 17 was $16.77, and the items taken on Oct. 22 were valued at $18.17, police said.

Just in time for holiday shopping, the Jefferson Valley Mall has added to its retail line-up with the addition of three seasonal stores: Go! Calendars, My Angel and Kechua World. In addition, the mall has added Animal Riders, which allows children to take a break from holiday shopping to enjoy a ride on a motorized version of their favorite animal including plush elephants, zebras, a hippopotamus and others.
